As previously reported there is a small amount of funding available this year for design work on making the crossing of the A283 in Bramber safer.
I joined a number of Countryside Access Forum representatives (cycling, equestrians, County Rights of Way staff) for a walk around the Downs Link in Bramber on Friday to review the various options. There is likely to be insufficient funding to provide a proper safe crossing of the A283 at the current Downs Link crossing position, but other routes next to the River under the A283 or at the Bramber roundabout will be investigated.
I think that at long last the local campaign to make the Downs Link safer as it goes through Bramber is making progress and hope to report a decision on the way forward later this year.Leave a comment
