The Woodmancote Parish Council meeting and Annual Parish Meeting takes place this evening at the Parish Hall, Brighton Road, Woodmancote, starting at 7.15pm.
The Upper Beeding Parish Council meeting takes place this evening at the Beeding and Bramber Village Hall, High Street, Upper Beeding, starting at 7.30pm.
My report to both Councils includes reference to the increase to five Traffic Regulation Orders being able to now be approved by County Local Committees (CLCs) each year from 2013/14. In addition the budget available to CLCs for grants to voluntary organisations for community projects has been increased to £6000 per member (so £24,000 will be available to the Chanctonbury CLC this finnacial year). Finally I will report that a number of highway schemes for the Chanctonbury area have been approved for 2013/14 – these include carriageway resurfacing on the Steyning Bypass from Reads Walk to the Horsham Road junction and surface dressing on The Street, Bramber and High Street, Upper Beeding and Henfield Road, Small Dole.
I will be attending the Woodmancote meetings from 7.15pm, but hope to arrive at the Upper Beeding meeting by 9pm.Leave a comment
